The Doctor is In. QMX has just released their Dr. Leonard McCoy 1/6 scale "Articulated Figure" and, in a rare moment of consumer consensus, Dave, Barry and Tod each bought one. SPOILER they all liked it. Find out why, as well as what other Star Trek figures and accessories they are hoping to see. Logan is the 10th and most recent entry in the long running FOX X-Men film franchise, and, reportedly, Hugh Jackman's last time portraying Wolverine onscreen. Hear what the Team thinks about the film and the franchise as a whole. While Logan slices up the big screen, Legion, a less overtly X-Men linked series runs on FX. Where do the Regular Joes sit with the show and how does the first X-Men (sort of) related live action TV series compares to some of the other comic based offerings? Listen in to find out.  All this plus the Regular side order of Random Topics. Thanks for listening!

In the the last few weeks Taken and Time after Time and Training Day were added to a 2016/2017 TV schedule that already included, The Exorcist, Frequency, Lethal Weapon and Westworld. While the practice of adapting films into TV series has been common since the earliest days of the medium the last few years have seen an huge escalation of such projects. Is the TV industry running out of new concepts, or is it simply the ease of selling a known property? The Regular Joes weigh in on this phenomenon, assess what works and what doesn't, preview a staggeringly long list of film to TV projects reportedly in development, and offer their own suggestions for Movies to migrate to the living room. All this plus Random Topics and What's In The Box. Thanks for Listening!

Dave says we're talking too much about TV shows. He's probably right. This week the Regular Joe's discuss another favorite topic, Prop Replicas. Find out which items are their favorites, what would they most like to see from manufacturers such as QMX, The Wand Company, Anovos and . . . Yes, Hasbro. Learn which home built projects they (meaning Dave) are contemplating, what would Tod grab in event of a fire, and what does Barry own too many of to carry. All this plus Random Topics and a round of What's in the Box. Thanks for listening . . . And, hey, don't touch that. It's expensive.

The Regular Joe's have a TV problem. There are simply too many shows and too little time. This week Barry Dave and Tod dive deep into their extensive watch lists to talk about their perennial favorites, recent additions, shows that no longer make the cut, as well as which new mid season offerings will likely get added to the mix. SPOILER they watch a $&@#% load of TV.  Plus: Random topics, including a real time donation to Felicity Jones' retirement fund, and What's in the Box/Show and Tell. Thanks for listening . . . and remember to vote in the annual Joe-cademy Awards Poll @ RegularJoes.com

This is it. All those hours you spent in 2016 watching Superhero, Sci-fi and Fantasy films is about to pay off. Yes, it's time for the third annual Joe-cademy Awards! While in most awards shows the suspense is about who gets nominations, and who takes home the statues, ours hangs on whether on not three guys can make it through reading a list. But first the Regular Joes catch up on recent news about the future of the D.C. film franchise and the first promising update from the set of Star Trek Discovery. All this plus a round of Wildcard picks and some last thoughts about Disney's position on our Princess and digital resurrection. Some of our listeners would suspect the Regular Joe's exclusively watch movies and TV shows with spaceships and aliens etc. but occasionally, we do take time out to enjoy something more cerebral, like a documentary about, spaceships and aliens etc. This week Dave (reputed to be the biggest Star Wars fan in the group) suggested Elstree 1976 (2015), by director Jon Spira, about extras and bit players in the early Star Wars films. Tod (in contention with Dave as the biggest Star Trek fan) suggested, For the love of Spock (2016) by Adam Nimoy, which addresses both the cultural significance of the character made famous by his father, actor Leonard Nimoy, and an intimate look at the life of the man himself. In an increasingly rare case of trilateral agreement, all three had similar takes on the two productions. One very good, one not so much. One certainly worth watching, the other . . . well you get the idea. If it's possible to spoil a documentary, then there are SPOILERS. This episode also contains a protracted discussion on what constitutes a "Jedi" and a round of Star Trek/Star Wars themed Random Topics interrupted only by Barry's desire to talk about another film that won't be made anyway. Thanks for Listening!

Using Carrie Fisher's recent memoir, The Princess Diarist, to provide perspective from the other side of the table The Regular Joe's discuss the phenomenon and culture of celebrity autograph shows. A few weeks back Tod warned Barry and Dave they probably wouldn't like Netflix The OA. He was about half right. WARNING it is nearly impossible to talk about The OA without some degree of spoiling, we do however keep it to a minimum. All this plus Random Topics and a round of What's in the Box.  Thanks for listening!
