Dave is taking to the road and Barry’s house is in the throughs of reconstruction so the Regular Joes recorded this week’s episode earlier on Sunday morning then Tod usually gets up. What ends up coming together is a pretty free flowing discussion about the nature of films today. Which seems appropriate given that it’s recorded on the day the Academy Awards are handed out. What does winning an Oscar really mean for an actor or filmmaker? And, in an era where seemingly every property with the slightest hint of nostalgia has been revisited or reimagined is there actually anything left? Or are they just going to keep re-creating Spiderman, Planet of the Apes, and Charlie’s Angels once each decade or so forever? All this plus the usual Random Topics and a round of What’s in the Box where we learn both practice and hidden value of gaffers tape. Thanks for listening. And you can check out pics of our What’s in the Box items at RegularJoe’s.com.
