They're into movies, toys and TV shows, comics and collecting and super heroes.  There's no end to the useless stuff they know, but don't call them GEEKS, they're just Regular Joes!

From the day in 1962 When John F. Kennedy famously spoke the words, "We choose to go to the moon ... " to the moment Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Micheal Collins were safely back upon the deck of the U.S.S. Hornet, N.A.S.A., and the eyes of the world, were focused on the now seemingly impossible undertaking accomplished 50 years ago this week. The regular Regular Joes are excited to have guest host Brian Mix along for this episode as we dive into all things N.A.S.A., Apollo Program and space as only four children of the sixties can do.  Along the way we take a look at Todd Douglas Miller’s documentary Apollo 11, which is comprised solely of archival footage, much of which has never been seen by the public. Without interviews or narration this work uses the contemporary words of N.A.S.A. personnel and reporters to tell the story as if opening a window to the past. If you haven’t yet seen this documentary it airs on CNN this weekend.  All this plus Random Topics, and a round of What’s in the Box.  To see all the items referenced in this episode check out the episode 296 tab at regularjoe’s.com where you’ll find photos, links, and Barry’s 1999 interview with Buzz Aldrin. Thanks for listening!
